Brookside sits in midtown Tulsa, built around Peoria Avenue. It’s a short drive to downtown, and it’s close to the Arkansas River trails.
For people moving from bigger cities, the location is a big plus. You get city access without the city traffic.
What Makes Brookside Feel Like Home
The heart of Brookside is its strip of local shops, coffee spots, and restaurants along Peoria. Many residents walk or bike there on weekends.
The streets are tree-lined, and most homes have real character. You’ll see cottages, bungalows, and updated older homes, not rows of identical houses.
The Gathering Place Is Right Next Door
Gathering Place, Tulsa’s riverfront park, is just west of Brookside. It has playgrounds, trails, gardens, and free events all year.
For families relocating with kids, this is often what seals the deal. For everyone else, it’s a great spot for a morning walk.

Brookside is a strong fit if you want:

If you want new construction or a big yard on acreage, I’ll point you to other areas that suit you better.
What to Know Before You Buy
Older homes often need closer inspections, so plan time for that. Homes in popular pockets can also move fast.
